Program's Overview

The Master Program of Sociology focuses on studies in the fields of media and digital humanities, identity and citizenship, sociology and social policy. We also offer programs with international exposure where students have the opportunity to take part in the learning process at Universitas Gadjah Mada and at the University of Melbourne, Australia (double degree program).

Together with academics and practitioners who are experts in their fields, students will be given social analysis and interpretation skills so they are able to think critically in carrying out research and service programs based on social advocacy.

To register for this program, prospective students can have the opportunity to take part in the learning process supported by various scholarship schemes such as the Education Fund Management Institution Scholarship (LPDP) by the Indonesian Ministry of Finance as well as Beasiswa Unggulan and Beasiswa Pendidikan Indonesia by the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology.
